Certifications and standards

Which document covers which part of the product — and what still has to be arranged per project. We would rather answer this precisely than print a wall of logos.

Pack versus cell — why we separate them

IEC 62619 and UN38.3 on a pack is a different claim from UL 1973 / UL 2054 on a cell. Both matter to different reviewers, and mixing them is how suppliers end up unable to produce a document when a buyer asks for it by name.

CE-EMC is not "CE certified"

Our DC battery cabinets are evidenced under the EMC Directive. We do not describe a battery as simply "CE certified" — that sentence means nothing on a 51.2 V battery and it is the first thing an experienced buyer tests.

System-level approvals are project items

Grid-code approvals (for example the various European national codes) and fire-code listings attach to a complete system and to the site. Tell us the destination country and we will state what is held, what has to be applied for and by whom.

Transport documents are separate again

UN38.3 test summary, MSDS and a transport declaration for class 9 dangerous goods are required for every lithium shipment. These ship with every order — see the shipping guide.

Certificate documents we send with a quotation

UN38.3 test summary

Eight-test transport summary for the exact cell and pack configuration.

MSDS

Safety data sheet for the cell chemistry shipped.

IEC 62619 / IEC 63056

Battery safety evidence including CB-format certificates where available.

Declaration of holders

A written statement of which legal entity holds each document and for which model it is valid.

Certificates are issued to the manufacturing entity. On request we provide copies plus a written statement of the relationship, so your compliance reviewer can see who holds what. The copies cannot be re-issued in your company's name — that requires an application in your own name, which we can support.

Need the certificate list for a specific model?

Tell us the model and the destination country. We will send the documents that apply and flag anything that has to be arranged locally.
