Every battery on this site is lithium-ion based and ships as UN3480 class 9 dangerous goods. This page is the short version of what that means for your order and your forwarder.
Home batteries and cabinets move by sea, in full containers. A 5 kWh wall battery, a 225 kWh cabinet and a 5 MWh block all travel the same way — the paperwork differs, the mode does not.
Above 100 Wh, air transport is practically unavailable for this product class. If a deadline assumes air freight, reset the deadline before you quote your customer.
Batteries ship at a reduced state of charge per transport rules, not fully charged. Plan a commissioning charge into the installation visit.
A container system needs lifting equipment, a site access check and a commissioning plan. We agree the unloading and commissioning split in writing before shipment.
